GreenGas and Dominion Announce Renewable Gas Injection Point

What is Renewable Gas?
Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) is Methane. It occurs naturally as a byproduct of human activities such as farming, landfills, and waste water treatment. It can be captured and used as fuel.
Why Capture Renewable Gas?
Methane is a greenhouse gas that is 25 times more destructive to the environment than CO2. Capturing methane and burning it as a fuel eliminates those emissions and offsets fossil fuel consumption.
What are we doing about it?
1. GreenGas and Dominion are building an Injection Point
An injection point gives producers of renewable gas a way to sell gas to consumers.

2. GreenGas will provide producers such as farmers a way to sell gas and produce additional income
GreenGas and its partner NEOgas will collect and transport renewable gas from producers to the pipeline injection point.
3. Dominion and GreenGas will provide consumers access to renewable gas and a way to become carbon neutral
Customers with access to Dominion / SCE&G pipelines can purchase gas. Consumers without pipeline access can be served directly by truck similar to propane.
